What is Friend's Pass?

Friend's Pass is a special feature in Split Fiction that allows players who own the game to invite a friend to play for free. This means that with just one purchase, two people can experience the complete Split Fiction adventure together!

This feature was introduced by Hazelight Studios, who previously used similar functionality in It Takes Two and A Way Out, aimed at encouraging more players to experience cooperative games.

How to Use Friend's Pass

Step 1: Purchase the Game

First, one player needs to purchase the full version of Split Fiction. The game will be released on March 6, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Step 2: Download Friend's Pass

Your friend needs to download the free Friend's Pass version from their platform's store. This version can't be played alone but can accept invitations from players who own the full game.

Step 3: Connect and Invite

The player with the full game can invite their friend who has downloaded the Friend's Pass through the in-game invitation system. Once connected, both players can experience the full game content together.

Step 4: Start the Adventure

After connecting, both players can start the Split Fiction adventure together, experiencing Mio and Zoe's story and exploring the collision of sci-fi and fantasy worlds.

  • One player must own the full game to use the Friend's Pass feature.
